VIDEO: Adam Sandler Dropped an INTERESTING Taylor Swift Story that had Travis Kelce “SWEATING”
Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce has seen his circle of celebrity friends grow over the past year thanks to his relationship with Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift.
One new person in Travis Kelce’s friendship circle? Beloved Hollywood actor and comedian Adam Sandler, who recently announced that the three-time Super Bowl champion will get a cameo in “Happy Gilmore 2”.
The highly-anticipated film is a sequel of Sandler’s 1996 hit comedy titled “Happy Gilmore”, a story about a former hockey player who uses his signature and powerful slap shot to become a professional golfer.
During Sandler’s appearance on the “New Heights” podcast co-hosted by Travis and older brother Jason Kelce, the “Big Daddy” star told the Chiefs superstar about his family’s admiration for Taylor Swift:
“Dude, she means so much to our house. The kids were little, and we were listening to Taylor Swift. It was one of the first times that [they] listened to every song on the record. When I was a kid, The Beatles you did that with, maybe Elton John — you knew every tune. Taylor, in our house, every tune, they knew every word…I do get nervous around Taylor Swift, because I don’t want to f–king blow it for my kids and say something stupid…
When you guys first started dating..was my family like, ‘Yes! Look how good they are together! He’s a gentleman! And she’s having so much fun with him!’ Any time Taylor’s laughing with you, my whole f–king family is high-fiving.”
“You got me sweating over here,” Kelce responded to Sandler.
Speculation about Travis Kelce seeing Taylor Swift began around this time last year. Their relationship was confirmed when the legendary singer attended the Chiefs’ Week 3 home game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Swift attended most of Kansas City’s games in 2023, including all four of their playoff games. She performed a concert in Tokyo one day before Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas, but got home in plenty of time to attend the big dance.
Travis and the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime to win their second straight Super Bowl championship. With a third title in five years, Kansas City cemented itself as a dynasty.
In one week, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will begin their quest for a three-peat when they welcome reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens to Arrowhead Stadium in the NFL Kickoff Game on Sept. 5.
This will be a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game in Baltimore, which the Chiefs won 17-10 to spoil Jackson’s MVP season.
