REPORT: Taylor Swift’s team not happy with NFL, Travis Kelce and his family over Taylor Swift’s treatment after Kansas Chiefs first game of the season
Taylor Swift attended Thursday night’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. While Swift never publicly confirmed her plans, multiple reports indicated that she would be in attendance on Thursday night.
The Athletic first reported that Swift would be in attendance; Swift will be in attendance for the Chiefs’ season opener Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens, The Athletic’s Nate Taylor and Dianna Russini report.
She’s in the midst of a two-month tour break after her European leg ended in August, meaning she could conceivably get to many of Kelce’s early-season games — including the first five weeks of the season. The tour restarts in October in North America, continuing until her final show in Vancouver on Dec. 8.
But Swift’s team is reportedly not happy with those in the NFL for leaking her plans. Swift’s team is reportedly “steaming” with the news leaking, according to Page Six.
“She has presidential-level security,” says Page Six’s source. “After Austria, her security firm is not too happy that her whereabouts are out.”
In August, the CIA was made aware of threats against a Swift concert in Austria. Swift canceled three shows and has since been on pretty high alert. Swift’s team suspects that the NFL might’ve leaked the Chiefs vs. Ravens news to help build up interest in the game.
“We’ll be prepared for her, and obviously welcome her with open arms,” Chiefs president Mark Donovan told Front Office Sports.
“She brings a lot with her, and it’s a pretty valuable, targeted demographic when you look at the makeup of her fan base,” Donovan said. “And we’ve looked at ways that we could be respectful.” The Chiefs topped the Ravens in the first game of the season on Thursday night.
