Andy Reid Revealed history-chasing Kansas City can be stopped and these are the NFL teams that can deny Patrick Mahomes and make their own history: So greatness beckons for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid if they can lift the Lombardi Trophy in New Orleans next February.
No team in the Super Bowl era have ever won three successive Super Bowls, not even Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the all-conquering New England Patriots. So greatness beckons for the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid if they can lift the Lombardi Trophy in New Orleans next February.
But who can stop them? talkSPORT’s team of commentators, writers and contributors have been delivering their verdicts ahead of the new NFL season and the time has come to make the pick on who will the big game in the Super Bowl. Can anyone stop the winning machine that is the Chiefs? Will an upstart contender finally emerge? And is it time for Josh Allen, Josh Burrow or Jalen Hurts to begin their own legacy.
Over to the experts…. I’ve got to go with Kansas City, as I have said I believe in this team – and I think they will be against the Detroit Lions. I see the Lions in the Super Bowl, and the country is going crazy.
Its gonna be hard for the Chiefs to get to six champions, so the Chiefs need a three-peat. A lot of people are saying it, I don’t know if they believe it – but I believe it. Dan Campbell has led the Lions to the brink of a first ever Super Bowl. Until someone can knock off Mahomes, Kelce, Steve Spagnuola and Big Red himself, I’ll find it difficult to pick anyone other than the Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid – as much as I am pulling for Dan Campbell and the Lions.
They look better than they did in 2023, with the addition of some major weapons for Mahomes who seems to revel in doing just enough before stepping up to the sort of levels few can live with, let alone live up to.
San Francisco 49ers are the best equipped to deal with it but after four NFC title games in five years they will take a step back and while Detroit, Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Buffalo are well placed to challenge, I am taking the Green Bay Packers to meet the Chiefs, but ultimately fall short – as they all do.
