CELEBRITY
Details of what Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Thanksgiving celebration with their families was like revealed: It was special
Taylor Swift enjoyed a “special” Thanksgiving with the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce as their two families came together to mark the occasion on November 28, the first time the power couple have celebrated it together.
The 34-year-old popstar and 35-year-old NFL tight end have been dating for over a year and initially seemed as though they wouldn’t be doing something together this year after Donna Kelce suggested it would be football as usual.
But an insider revealed that was not the case as the Kelces were invited to the Swifts’ home, including the extended members of Travis’ brother, Jason and his wife, Kylie, and their three children.
“Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families,” a source tells PEOPLE. “It’s the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together.
“Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year. Jason was there with his family and kids too. It was very festive and special.”
The Swifts were represented by Taylor, her mom, Andrea, and her dad, Scott, although it’s unclear if her younger brother, Austin, attended the gathering in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday too.
Travis and Taylor couldn’t hang around for too long, however, as the pair quickly jetted off to the Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs took on the Las Vegas Raiders and ran out 19-16 winners on Friday, November 29.
News of the dinner may not have came as a shock to just the Swifties fans alone either, as Donna Kelce admitted there were no plans for a Thanksgiving dinner as the 72-year-old mother of Travis and Jason said she thought Taylor would be too busy with the Eras Tour.
Swift is currently enjoying a little break before she heads to the BC Place in Vancouver to finally close out the series of shows that have made over two billion dollars. She will perform from December 6-8.
