Hilarious moment Jason Kelce lookalikes battle it out in Philadelphia, leaving fans ‘shouting’
Philadelphia locals participated in a trend sweeping the nation by hosting a Jason Kelce lookalike competition on Saturday.
Residents of the City of Brotherly Love gathered at the Rittenhouse Square as fans devised clever ways to depict and impersonate the legendary Eagles center.
Bearded lookalikes had various ways of portraying Kelce for the competition, given his several iconic outfits.
Participants wore everything from Eagles hats and tracksuits to Kelce jerseys, and his signature flip-flops. One lookalike wore a Phillies hoodie and carried a case of Garage Beer, one of Kelce’s recent business ventures.
Another diehard tried to recreate Kelce’s viral topless celebration during the Chiefs-Bills divisional playoff game in Buffalo earlier this year. The same fan told Cross Broad he ‘drove three hours from Connecticut’ to participate in the contest.
Kelce’s Mummers outfit from the Eagles’ 2018 Super Bowl victory parade was also a popular costume choice for the day’s contest.
A green carpet was laid out on the park as participants showed off their outfits and best Kelce impressions.
On the carpet, fans made tackling motions, ripped off their t-shirts, and smashed beer cans in front of the audience.
In the end, the aforementioned lookalike with a case of Garage Beer was named the winner. ‘I’m Jason Kelce,’ he says in the Crossing Broad video.
Lookalike contests have grown popular across the States since a TimothĂŠe Chalamet-themed competition was held in New York City in November.
On Sunday, another Eagles star will be at the center of another competition as a Jalen Hurts lookalike contest is scheduled at Rittenhouse Square on Sunday.
Kelce played all 13 of his NFL seasons in Philadelphia and became a local cult figure for his warm character and football prowess. Kelce retired earlier this year after making six first-team All-Pro and seven Pro Bowl selections in a Philly jersey.
