“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT”: Donald Trump attacks Taylor Swift Again despite her friendship with Brittany Mahomes
The 45th U.S. President Donald Trump has once again taken aim at pop star Taylor Swift, following her endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for president.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his disdain in his typical all-caps style, stating simply, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” The brief statement, posted on Sunday morning, came without further explanation or context.
The remark follows Swift’s public endorsement of Harris, after the Vice President’s strong performance in the September 10th debate against Trump.
Swift, known for her activism and increasing involvement in political matters, posted on her Instagram Story, encouraging her followers to vote for Harris in the upcoming election.
“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” Swift wrote.
She described Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and emphasized her preference for leadership marked by “calm and not chaos.”
Swift’s message included a link to Vote.gov, resulting in a significant spike in traffic to the voter-information site, with over 400,000 visitors in just 24 hours.
Swift attacks Trump’s use of AI
In her Instagram post, Swift also addressed Trump’s previous use of an AI-generated image that falsely depicted her as endorsing him during his campaign.
Swift has been vocal in her disapproval of Trump in recent years, and this latest exchange underscores the tension between the pop star and the former president.
As the 2024 U.S. presidential election draws closer, Swift’s involvement is expected to further fuel discussions around celebrity influence in politics, while Trump’s sharp criticism highlights the growing divide between the two cultural figures.
