Simone Biles revealed that a nightclub in Paris tried to charge her $100,000 for one bottle of champagne after the 2024 Olympics.
“We had closing ceremonies at the Olympics. I went, and after that, we went out,” Biles recalled in a TikTok video posted on Monday (Aug. 19). “You guys, this club tried to charge me $100,000 for a bottle of Champagne.”
She continued, “Like, are you insane? Obviously, I didn’t buy it. But why would you even try to play me like that? Like, that’s wild.” The decorated gymnast recently won four medals during the 2024 Paris Olympics—three gold and one silver, which increased her career medal count to 11.
Following her Paris journey, Biles recently updated fans on her and her husband Jonathan Owen’s Texas mansion after expressing her frustration with last year’s delayed construction. On Instagram, she posted a photo of a white tile floor, white-and-gray marble walls, and a large window in what looks like a shower.
