JUST IN: Travis Kelce’s Unexpected Acting Career Just Got Another VIP Stamp of Approval
We know a lot about Travis Kelce: he’s a Super Bowl-winning tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, he’s Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, and, perhaps most impressively, he’s the unofficial king of manifesting!
Months after mentioning Swift and her iconic friendship bracelets, the singer was wrapped around his arm going on dates together. Soon after saying he wanted to venture into acting, Kelce was cast in Ryan Murphy’s new show, Grotesquerie. Need we say more?
And, most recently, Kelce did it again. Just a few months after Kelce shared his love for Adam Sandler‘s Happy Gilmore, Sandler himself hired him for a cameo.

And, most recently, Kelce did it again. Just a few months after Kelce shared his love for Adam Sandler‘s Happy Gilmore, Sandler himself hired him for a cameo.
Kelce’s cameo aside, Sandler showed just how excited he is about the sequel. “It’s good, we worked hard on the script, man,” he said. “We didn’t want to let anybody down. People have been asking for a long time ‘Do Happy Gilmore 2‘ and I was always like ‘Nah, I’ll only let you down.’ But then me and my buddy Tim Herlihy, we came up with this idea, we’re really excited about it, we wrote our asses off.”
Back in May, Kelce talked about potentially working on the movie. “Man, I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2,” Kelce said, adding that he’s a “huge fan of The Sandman” and would love to be invited.
“I’ll be a f— extra… anything to get around Happy Gilmore, an Adam Sandler film or set — count me in,” he added.
“Who knows? Theories can come true,” he teased. “Theories can be true and people just don’t know about it. I might even be in the talking and nobody knows about it, but I could also not be in the talking.”
“I’ll do anything in the movie,” he then added. “I’ll be part of it any way I possibly can.” Looks like that’s exactly what Sandler needed to be convinced!
Netflix confirmed the sequel to the 1996 comedy earlier that month. “It’s been almost 30 years since we last saw Happy Gilmore, the long-driving hero who won in the Tour Championship in 1996,” the statement from the platform read. “Now, we finally get to catch up with him in a new sequel. That’s right, Adam Sandler is returning to the golf green as Happy Gilmore, and he’s bringing his powerful slap shot with him. No word on any alligators.” We can’t wait!
