JUST IN: True extent of Prince Harry’s feud with Prince William exposed in four-word statement

Prince William did not share Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis in advance of her global video address with his brother, Prince Harry, according to a bombshell report in The Sunday Times.

Shortly after Kate’s emotional video was released, Harry and Meghan’s office issued a public statement after the diagnosis was shared publicly, and their camp let it be known they had made contact privately with William and Kate.

They said: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”

In a four-worded statement that reveals the feud between the two brothers, The Times’ royal correspondent, Roya Nikkhah said: “That contact was unreciprocated.”

Prince Harry wrote in his explosive memoir, that the two brothers “barely exchanged a word” during the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral on September 19, 2022, and it is understood they have not spoken since.

A friend of both Prince William and Prince Harry shared with the Times: “I always said the brothers would be there for each other at the end of the day, and that’s been proven wrong so far.”

Those close to William say his brother rarely comes up in conversation. One revealed: “This year his focus has very much been on his wife, his children and his father. His brother isn’t really something that’s discussed.”

King Charles has not seen his grandchildren, Prince Archie or Princess Lilibet in person since the Sussexes briefly came to the UK in June 2022 for Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee. Neither Archie nor Lili have met Thomas Markle, Meghan’s father, from whom she is estranged and whom Harry has never met.

Prince Harry, however, last saw his father in February 2024 when the King publicly revealed his cancer diagnosis to the public. Harry flew to the UK for a meeting with his father at Clarence House, which reportedly lasted only 45 minutes.

Aside from the joys of parenthood the Prince and Meghan Markle want to be known for their humanitarian work and have just completed a four-day trip to Colombia.

The couple had been invited by Francia Marquez, the South American country’s vice president and the first black woman to hold that role. Since stepping down as working royals in 2020, the trip marks their second ‘tour’, as the duo visited Nigeria earlier this year.

Harry and Meghan met “leaders, youth and women who embody the voices and aspirations of Colombians committed to progress”. It was not a state visit or royal trip, which would be carried out on behalf of the government because the couple are no longer working royals.

Harry and Meghan recently launched The Parents’ Network to help families whose children have experienced the harmful effects of social media.

The trip comes ahead of a global ministerial conference about ending violence against children which is being held in Colombia in November.
