Travis Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs have been in New Orleans, Louisiana, for nearly a week now as they prepare for Super Bowl LIX. The Chiefs will get a rematch of the Super Bowl from two seasons ago (38-35 KC) as they face Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles.

In the week building up to the big game, players from both teams have participated in interviews and press conferences. And on Thursday, the league held the 14th Annual NFL Honors right down the road from the Superdome.

Unfortunately for Kelce, he did not win the Walter Payton Man of the Year award after being nominated by the Chiefs.

Although the former Cincinnati Bearcats tight end missed out on a sizeable donation to his charity, 87 and Running, he may have received an even more special gift ahead of the championship.

On Super Bowl Media Night, comedian Guillermo Rodriguez of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” made his return to the big game as part of a segment of the late-night talk show.

When Guillermo was interviewing Kelce, the Chiefs star proceeded to give him a hug before receiving a big chain that featured Guillermo’s face on it. “Can I get a hug for good luck?” Guillermo asked. “I’ll take a hug all day, baby,” Kelce responded.

Guillermo started as a security guard for the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studio in 2003, working a second job in the process.

He was invited onto the show for the first time that same year and has been a big part of it ever since. He has even made annual appearances at big sporting events such as the Super Bowl and the NBA Finals.

Kelce had a down regular season, at least according to his standards, recording 97 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns. This marks his worst statistical output since 2015. Yet, the 35-year-old continues to find ways to get it done in the postseason. Through two games, Kelce tallied nine catches for 136 yards and one touchdown.

Now, Kelce and the Chiefs are eyeing their fourth ring in six seasons and the first-ever NFL three-peat. They will take on the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
