Donald Trump didn’t hold back when he reacted to Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris. The morning after his first presidential debate against Harris, Trump called into “Fox & Friends” with a salty response that quickly grabbed headlines.

Rather than directly addressing Swift’s support for Harris, Trump took the opportunity to shift the spotlight to another public figure, Brittany Mahomes.

“I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better,” Trump said, throwing a surprising comparison into the mix. “She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan.” His tone, full of sarcasm, set the stage for what would become a heated discussion on social media.

Swift, who formally endorsed Harris for president just after the debate concluded, also called out Trump for previously using a fake image of her, falsely suggesting she was endorsing him. Trump shrugged off her criticism, dismissing Swift as “very liberal” and implying that her political choices would hurt her career. “She’s always endorsing a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace,” Trump claimed. But the former president didn’t stop there. He went on to praise Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, as someone he preferred over Swift.

Interestingly, Brittany Mahomes has her own connection to Swift through her husband’s teammate, Travis Kelce, who is currently dating the pop star. The two women were recently photographed together at the U.S. Open, where they appeared to be getting along well, despite their political differences. This moment between Swift and Brittany stirred up some online controversy, especially among Swifties who were surprised to see Brittany, a known Trump supporter, cozying up to Swift before the singer had publicly endorsed a candidate.
