WATCH: Travis Kelce can’t make it through NFL segment on his podcast without singing Taylor Swift song
If the most recent episode of New Heights Show with Travis and Jason Kelce is anything to go by, it seems that Travis Kelce just can’t get Taylor Swift out of his mind. After sending Swifties wild by having baby fever on his mind, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end couldn’t even make it through a segment about NFL trades without breaking into one of the most famous Taylor Swift songs mid-sentence.
In a move that almost mirrored the NFL’s coverage of Chiefs games this season, Kelce took a conversation just about football and added in some Taylor Swift, giving listeners the debut of the new single we can call Bad Blood: Travis’ Version.
“Kenny and the Steelers, their relationship ended in a little bad blood,” the 9-time Pro Bowler said, adding a little kick to the Swift lyrics at the end.
He and Jason Kelce were discussing the major in-state quarterback trade that sent Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett to Jason’s old team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Steelers acquired Russell Wilson and Justin Fields as their new quarterback duo in the offseason, dumping Pickett, Mason Rudolph and Mitchell Trubisky.
Travis Kelce is a natural performer
Travis Kelce’s love for singing is nothing new. The 34-year-old has been seen over the years singing at country music concerts, drunken Super Bowl parades, Christmas carols and everything in between.
However, bringing that hobby to the New Heights Podcast is new news. Since the audience includes a large number of Swifties, who helped he and Jason reach chart-topping success, the hosts know that any slight reference to Taylor is sure to cause a stir.
It was something they steered clear of in the past, but Travis seems to be getting more and more comfortable in his relationship, and it is coming through on the show.
