Did Dakota Johnson tease the ‘Patient Zero’ video plot with her jewelry?
If you wanna party with somebody who might know, call Dakota Johnson! The Hollywood actress may have worn more than just designer jewelry to the red carpet this week, as fans are now wondering whether her accessories contained subtle clues to Taylor Swift’s mysterious new music video, Patient Zero.
Johnson made a surprise appearance during Sunday night’s 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, where she presented her friend Swift with the show’s first-ever Artist Director Honors before helping premiere the highly anticipated Patient Zero music video.
But it was an appearance days earlier that has everyone looking twice.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star, who plays a key role opposite Colin Farrell in Swift’s latest cinematic project, stepped onto the red carpet for the London premiere of Verity on Thursday. While her glamorous look attracted attention, Instagram account WhoWoreWhatJewels spotted something potentially even more intriguing: the names of the jewelry pieces she wore appeared to echo the themes of Swift’s music video.
Coincidence? Or was Johnson quietly dropping hints before the world knew what was coming?
💎 The Jewelry Clues That Have Fans Talking
Johnson’s jewelry choices have sparked speculation because some of the pieces carry names that seem particularly fitting for a story involving romance, deception and the complicated aftermath of a relationship.
Among the pieces attracting attention were the “Devil Is in the Details” bracelet, “He Loves Me” diamond ring, “Sweetheart” necklace and “Apple of My Eye” ring from Cece Jewellery.
Individually, the accessories sound like elegant additions to a red-carpet outfit. Together, however, their names have encouraged fans to search for possible connections to Patient Zero.
The “Devil Is in the Details” bracelet is particularly suggestive. Could its name reflect the hidden truths and troubling behavior that emerge as the video’s story unfolds?
Then there is the “He Loves Me” diamond ring, whose romantic wording takes on a different meaning when viewed against a narrative about a relationship that may not be what it initially appears to be.
