Jason Kelce Faces Fresh Family Challenge After Kylie Kelce Shares Daughters’ Latest Request

Jason Kelce spent 13 seasons anchoring the offensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles, but these days his toughest opponent might be sitting at his own dinner table. His wife, Kylie Kelce, revealed this week that a very famous voice has entered the family debate over getting a pet.

Kylie and Jason share four young daughters, and the girls have picked up a strong opinion on the subject since their uncle Travis Kelce got married this summer. The new influence in the house has a name the kids already know well, and it comes up often at home.

Kylie explained the shift on the August 20 episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie, while speaking with guest Leslie Mann. “I grew up in a cat-dog house, both at all times. And now, our kids have influences in their lives; Aunt Taylor is a big one, where they get to be around cats. Then, we go home, and there are no cats, and they’re like, ‘But we want cats,’” she said.

Jason has stayed firmly on the anti-cat side of the debate, and Kylie said she now has to win the girls over to her side before he changes his mind. Jason reportedly has allergies and has said their dogs have already done enough damage to the furniture at home.

Taylor has three cats of her own, Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button, and she has reportedly gone out of her way to win the kids over to cats by letting them hold the gentle ragdoll, Benjamin, during visits together.

The girls, Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, about 16 months, served as flower girls when Taylor married Travis at Madison Square Garden on July 3. Kylie’s podcast appearance marked the first time she publicly referred to Taylor as “Aunt Taylor” since the wedding.

The push for a pet is not new in the Kelce household. Kylie has said she has been advocating for a cat for years, while Travis has built a reputation as the perfect uncle to his nieces well before he officially joined the family by marriage.

Jason and Kylie’s daughters have made headlines on the family’s podcasts before, including a recent episode where Kylie described the girls’ distinct personalities while juggling all four during a night out. Kylie hinted back in March that a new pet could join the family, though nothing has been finalized since that update.
