The Not Gonna Lie host tells Scary Mommy about her mums’ getaway with Mummy Pig, Jason’s cameo, and what filling your cup actually looks like with four kids under 7.

peppa Pig has been a TV fixture for more than two decades, and in all that time, it’s never made anything specifically for those of us who’ve logged countless hours watching it alongside our little ones: the parents. But that all changes today with the series’ first-ever adult-targeted animated special. Even better? None other than our favorite podcaster and mom of four, Not Gonna Lie’s Kylie Kelce, is dropped into Peppa’s world for a self-care getaway with Mummy Pig.

Oh, and Kylie’s a kangaroo! The special also includes a Kodiak-bear cameo from Kylie’s husband, Jason Kelce (who, as you’ll soon discover, has a cute connection to her marsupial origin story).

It’s the next chapter in the friendship between Kylie and Mummy Pig, an unlikely bond that went viral last year when Mummy announced her pregnancy on Not Gonna Lie. Through this new adventure, the pair shine a light on some of the relatable realities of modern parenting, doing so with a double-dose of humor and heart.

Below, Kylie gives Scary Mommy an exclusive scoop on the first-of-its-kind special, shares some behind-the-scenes footage, and reveals what making time for herself actually looks like in a house with four girls under 7.

Kylie Kelce: I think that it’s positive. It is a good pace. It also addresses real-life things, which is nice. I always find that shows that are like that spark up conversation. I mean, we have the full range — we have 6, 5, 3, and 1 — and nobody argues if Peppa is what’s on the TV.

SM: Bless Peppa! You’re animated as a kangaroo. As a self-professed animal nerd, did you get a vote in what animal you were and/or your outfit?

KK: I did get a vote. I went with kangaroo as a nod to my husband … technically my nickname for him is Joe, which is from a baby Joey. When we first met, I was still playing field hockey, and he said that I looked like a kangaroo when I was playing field hockey. So that’s why I ended up as a kangaroo. And I definitely had a say in what I was wearing because I did ask for the low-top Chuck Taylors.

KK: Yes. I mean, it’s just fitting. When he meets little kids, specifically little kids who do not have a parent with facial hair, I always say to the kid like, “I know, it’s crazy, a talking bear.”
